|★★★★☆| Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil ($38) – I seriously had no idea what this was. Instructions just said “Apply all over face and body.” Luckily the booklet specified, anywhere that needs moisturizing. It’s a little hard to apply, but absorbs quickly and smells amazing.
|★★★☆☆| Good Genes Treatment ($105) – “An immediate complexion booster!” IDK. Doesn’t seem to do much, look-wise, but it feels nice. Over time it’s supposed to fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
|★★★★★| NARS Satin Lip Pencil ($26) – I’m really excited to get another one of these, because I’m almost out of my last sample. It’s a nice, unobtrusive mauve.
|★★★★☆| Sephora Colorful Cheek Ink Gel ($14) – This comes out looking pepto bismal pink, until you put it on your cheeks and it gives you a ‘just-pinched-cheek’ glow. Wouldn’t Just Pinched Pink make a good name for a color?
This happens every few months or so. I drop a couple hundred dollars on things I don’t need. $50 of those dollars went to Sephora because they had a 5 free samples promo. I’ve already tried all of the free samples, so those reviews are below, but first here’s what I actually spent money on.
Too Faced Sugar Pop Eye Palette ($36) – I have way too many neutral eyeshadow palettes and this looked like a good antidote. Plus, it comes with a “glamour guide tutorial.”
Nails Inc. in London Court ($14) – Too much to spend on a nailpolish? Absolutely. Exactly enough to bring me up to free shipping? You betcha! It’s the perfect, opaque, pale pink/white color.
I ran out of my Origins eye cream this week and need a new one, but don’t want to spend $25+. I’m not opposed to drug store ones, but it seems like they’ve gotten really expensive and I’d rather spend $30 on a Sephora brand than $18 on a CVS brand. BUT, I think I need to get over that bias and just save the $12. lol I don’t even have wrinkles, so I don’t know why I’m so pretentious about eye cream.
I’ve placed quite a few Amazon orders since adopting Reba and the other day I wanted to throw in something for myself, so I bought the cutest ring for only $20:
Although, buyer beware, go a size up or you get sausage casing fingers.
At the half marathon last weekend, FH wasn’t able to watch most of it because Reba was shivering outside, so I got to buy a dog jacket! TJMaxx/Homegoods had the best and cheapest selection, even compared to online retailers.
Speaking of the dog, I totally miss her during the day and worry about her and want to hug her and cuddle her and look at her all day. I’m way less productive at home, even if you only consider the time I’m home doing noting (not walking her, feeding her, training her) because I’m totally obsessed with her. ❤ Unconditional Love
#HumbleBrag – I still can’t believe Baystate time. If I can run it in 2:15, then I can probably run it in 2, right? Probably not, but it’s worth dreaming. I refuse to pay $15 for the digital print of this (sorry, photographer, but that’s ridiculous), but here is a very determined Briana running a half marathon!
