My 5 day average was 1610, already not looking good. Then, I took a 3 day vacation from counting calories that coincided with a trip to Portland, ME for a wedding. It is guaranteed that I am well over my target, what with brewery tours and open bars, not to mention the amazing food. The wedding was at Grace and it was such a nice venue. I’ll be back on the wagon this week. Promise.

Monday 5/23- 1.8 mile run [10:14 pace]
Thursday 5/26 – 5K RACE in 27:44!!!! – THAT, my friends, is an 8:53 min/mileaverage pace. Holy fucking shit. I should probably stretch or foam roll or something.
Avg 1350 calories/day X — Since I didn’t “use” a Fuck It day this week, my average skyrocketed to 1621, but I s’pose it’s better to know the whole story. UGH. I hate watching what I eat. I love watching myself each whatever the fuck I want.

Monday 5/16 – 6 Week 6 Pack – I have written down all the exercises from this video, so I did this workout without the video because I wanted to watch Veep. It never feels like I do as much work though, without Jillian’s frenetic pace.
Tuesday 5/17 – 2 mile run [10:28 pace] – I seriously don’t know how to run faster without other people.
Wednesday 5/18 – PT
Thursday 5/19 – 2 mile fartlek run [10:20 pace] – I did 4 sprints within this run…and had to walk after each one. My legs are jello.
Friday 5/20 – 4.16 mile run [10:21 pace] – Fuck Yes! I did my long run at the same pace as my short/easy/fast run.
Avg 1350 calories/day <— SO CLOSE! My average was 1385 per day.

I think, maybe, no more Fuck It Days 😦 They are effective in getting me to eat healthier the other 6 days of the week, but I literally gained 2 pounds in a day this week. I ate s’mores for lunch and beer and mac and cheese for dinner. Maybe, Fuck It meals?

Tuesday 5/10 – 1.86 mile run [10:01 pace] – This was supposed to be a nice, short recovery run, but my legs are still screaming from the 5K last week.
Wednesday 5/11 – 30 minutes of Yoga for Athletes+ PT – I don’t know why I ever bookmarked this video. It’s so boring, and doesn’t stretch what I need. Blech.
Thursday 5/12 – 2 mile run [10:26 pace] – Everything is still a struggle. Can’t wait for 3 miles on Saturday.
Avg 1400 calories/day X — My average was 1505 and that excluded 1 Fuck It day and included one day that I thought I did really well, but it turns out Apple Crisp at a restaurant = 1400 calories. Whoops.
Weight = 134 lbs <–I think that’s the first time I’ve seen that number!
This week started a 5K Summer Seriesthat I decided to sign up for with some friends. Proceeds support cancer charities and a different brewery sponsors each race. Runners get 2 drink tickets afterwards. There are 7 races throughout the summer and early fall, all Thursdays after work. This was actually my first 5K race, and it was awesome!
Tuesday 5/3 – 2 mile run [9:48 pace] – This was a good, short run.
Thursday 5/5 – 3.1 mile run [9:02 pace] – Running with faster friends makes you fast. This is the fastest I’ve ever run 3 miles by like 5 minutes. I finally broke 30 minute 5k! I think I’m just terrible at knowing my pace and even trying to run fast.
